My Crazy Life

“Awesome”

Zach’s new word. Haha. He says “Mommy, that’s AWESOME!” It’s so cute.

You know, there are seriously some things you never thought you’d say in your lifetime … until you had a child. I find myself saying things like that all the time. A couple of these things I’ve caught myself saying today would be …
“Get the cat out of the garbage or mommy is going to get mad.”
“Get OUT of the dishwasher!”
“No, you can’t fly, not even with your blanket.”
See? These are normal mommy things to say. I’ve learned. It’s not just me. It’s really, really normal!

However, I’ve also found myself talking to C the same way this past week. Yes, prepare for a laugh (but not this part!). His car is having “issues,” as he puts it. It’s the water pump. He needs a new one. It was overheating and the belt was screeching and he doesn’t know much about cars and was throwing a tantrum. Of course, I guess being his “special friend” I had to hear all about it. Right? Sure. Okay. That’s truly okay with me. I listened to him whine and throw fits and all of this until his friend finally looked at it to see what was wrong with it….
Then we started aWHOLEnother playing field. We got into the whole “I hate being stuck at home” blah blah blah. He tells me about how he can’t even walk to town, and he feels helpless. And so “SCREW IT!” He says. “I am about to cry!I’m going to walk to town.”  …. So of course, here it comes. “I understand you’re frustrated but it’ll be okay. Don’t cry. And you can not walk to town, either.”

Yes. That’s it! Do you see something there? A pattern. Haha. I got a good laugh at the poor guy. But it’s okay. He didn’t try to walk to town. And he didn’t cry either.

Now it is Friday today. I am extremely ecstatic about this. It means only TONIGHT. Then a whole weekend off! Woohoo! I’m going to see C in the am after work.
And next weekend he is spending the weekend here. Ohhh boy… Get ready for this! :D
So.. as you see.. things are going great with him. I really like him a lot. We’ve talked about that. Not official or anything like that. But we’re “Special Friends” for now. Yes, kinda lame. But it’s okay with me.

One more thing I learned today… I REALLY need more jeans. Time to go shopping. :)
